How Northern Spire Transformed Their Meeting Rooms with Custom Map Wallpaper

At Wallpapered, we love seeing how businesses use our custom map wallpaper to create inspiring and memorable office spaces. One of our recent projects was with Northern Spire, a forward-thinking financial advisory firm based in Sunderland, UK.

Northern Spire, led by David Cook, are trusted financial advisers who specialise in tailored wealth and investment strategies. Known for building long-term client relationships and hosting high-profile networking events, their team wanted their offices to reflect both professionalism and local pride.

To achieve this, Northern Spire chose a custom map wallpaper mural of Sunderland for their boardroom. David Cook approached Wallpapered to design a striking feature wall that not only looks incredible but also celebrates their connection to the city.

The Wallpapered design team created a custom map design of Sunderland, incorporating Northern Spire’s brand colours for a truly personalised finish. 

They loved the result so much that they didn’t stop at one wall. Northern Spire went on to order two more custom map wallpapers: one of Durham and one of Newcastle upon Tyne, to complete the transformation of their other meeting rooms.

The meeting rooms were each finished with professional “Durham” and “Newcastle” door signs, completing the North East theme throughout the office building. It’s become a fun talking point for clients, who can now choose whether to meet in Sunderland, Durham, or Newcastle!

Each mural was tailored to fit the exact wall dimensions, printed with stunning detail, and installed seamlessly. Now, their team and visitors can hold meetings surrounded by beautiful, large-scale maps of the North East. The unique wallpapers in each meeting room spark conversation, connection, and a real sense of local pride.

The three custom map murals now form a core part of Northern Spire’s brand and visual identity. Serving as striking backdrops for client meetings, as well as appearing in photographs and videos across their company profile and social platforms.
